The Biddeford Brush
Confetti and Art of Biddeford - a program of Heart of Biddeford - are hosting the inaugural Biddeford Brush. The Biddeford Brush is a wet paint auction fundraising event, (a wet pain event is when the art work is created and sold in the same day), featuring Maine plein air artists capturing the essence of this diverse city. Confetti is partnering with AOB to raise money for the Biddeford Youth Art Scholarship Fund. The Biddeford Youth Arts Scholarship (BYAS) Fund aims to remove financial barriers for children eager to explore the arts in Biddeford, Maine. The BYAS Fund provides financial Scholarships for youth participation in local visual and performing arts programs, including art classes, dance, theater, and music lessons. A community that nurtures expression through art, provides positive growth for a creative future.

​Artists should be comfortable with the plein air stye of panting.
Artists will be asked to donating a percentage of art sales to the BYAS.
50%, 75% or 100%.
Accepted mediums include, oil, acrylic, watercolor and gouache paint, chalk or oil pastels.
All artists will be asked to attend the Biddeford Brush Auction and will be provided 2 tickets.
Artists provide their own canvas or paper, isles and supplies.

3pm-4pm-Drop work off for labeling and display
4pm-5pm Doors open for viewing art
6pm-Auction

The evening auction is a ticked event. Portion of ticket sales will also be donated to the BYAS Fund.
Places to paint in Biddeford: We implore you, if you are not familiar with the city, explore Biddeford for yourself. Biddeford hosts a number of inspiring visas and views. Historic smoke stacks and architecture in the downtown, home to iconic businesses such as Elements, Palace Diner and The Lincoln Hotel. The river running through the heart of Biddeford is the energy that powers the city. The majestic seaside of Biddeford pool make for classic seascapes. Biddeford has plenty of parks, hidden gems of recreational treasure and with lovely community gardens.
